Manufacture's Warranty

Oita stands for quality and eco-friendliness. We provide a 36-month or 30,000 km (whichever comes first) warranty on the motor and battery, as well as a 12-month warranty on electrical parts. To maintain the right to claim under warranty, it is important to have professional servicing and inspections carried out by authorized Oita dealers.

Battery

Oita R&D Team constantly struggles to provide you the best battery with the latest technology. We use the best cells currently available in the market and ensure hassle free Oita experience. Oita electric vehicle fitted with new battery gives the stated mileage under stated conditions.

Actual Mileage on new battery may be lower because of factors such as road conditions, load air Tyre & natural, gradients start stops, acceleration charge level etc.Batteries are like fuel for your Electric vehicles and start getting consumed by time, eg, the mileage on day 1 willl be the highest and day 30 will be low as compared, and day 90 will be lower as compared to Day 30 and soon. This is natural phenomena of the batteries.

The batteries are warrantied against manufacturing defects only and not against normal deterioration of their performance.

The mileage and the condition of your OITA ELECTRIC vehicle batteries can greatly deteriorate more than that specified above if any of the steps mentioned in Battery Health Tips card given to you at the time of delivery of OITA ELECTRIC Vehicles (also reproduced in the manual), not carried out properly.

Range: Many factors govern the mileage of your OITA ELECTRIC vehicle, these are. The charge of the battery, air pressure of the Tyres, adjustment of the brakes dragging brake shoe will adversely affect Rande, an overloaded vehicle requires more energy to accelerate which results in a loss of range, frequent stop and start usage (full power from standing, star draws the most amperage from the battery)

Do's

  • It is recommended to only use the charger provided by the company for charging the batteries.
  • Ensure location for charging the battery must be dry, clean, safe, and dustproof.
  • Connect input mains supply plug to the 230V/50hz supply wall socket with proper grounding.
  • Make sure the earthing is connected.
  • Ensure proper connection of the charger output cable with connector (DC Output) to the battery.
  • Unplug or turn the charger off before attaching or removing the clamp connections.

Dont's

  • Do not charge the battery immediately after long ride. Wait for 45 mins before charging the battery.
  • Do not charge the battery more than 5 hrs.
  • Do not leave the battery on charging overnight or unattended for long hours.
  • Do not attempt to recharge battery gone into deep discharge mode or damaged battery.
  • Do not charge the battery in a congested setup like under bed/sofa, ensure proper ventilation with at least breathing space of 10 cm from a wall or any other object while charging.
  • Do not place the charger on the battery.

Storage Portocol

Do's

  • Battery should be stored away from any heat source or direct sunlight, in a well ventilated, dry, and dust-free environment.
  • Keep all flammable materials away from the storage area
  • In case of long-term storage, remove the battery from the vehicle and store it away from any heat source or direct sunlight, in a well ventilated, dry, and dust-free room.
  • In case of long-term storage, store the batteries at 40% state of charge (SOC).
  • Charge the battery at least once in a month when not in regular use.

Dont's

  • Do Not place any object on the battery.
  • Do not let water penetrate the packaging boxes during their storage and transportation.
  • Do not store in places with High humidity.
  • Do not expose the battery to condensation, rain or frozen condition
